Looks like a team from IU may have found the Quedagh Merchant, Capt. Kidd's pirate ship, off the coast of the Dominican Republic.

Catalina Island off the coast of the Dominican Republic. Not too far off shore and in shallow water. Been snorkeling there before, several years ago. It is amazing that it had not been discovered and looted sooner.
