Is anybody else in the Cape Cod area planning on taking an AOW class this spring? I just signed up for one in mid May and am the first on signed up. The instructor says he knows one other that plans on taking the class. Gotta love small class size, plus at that particular dive shop it was way cheaper than the other 2 shops I looked at.

Cheaper does not, by definition, mean better.

(Unless I'm the one whipping out the wallet to pay for it! Just Kidding.)

When you're taking a class, and have 3 choices of diveshops, and you don't know who will teach it better, then it makes sense to spend the least amount of money on it. This way if you take the class and you feel you didn't learn much, atleast you didn't waste top dollar. Paying top dollar doesn't mean you'll get top value. Plenty examples of that here on Scubaboard.

I knew there was something I needed to do this year..... I signed up twice before and had the classes cancelled for lack of interest. Gotta get that and Nitrox done this year. My mouth is watering just thinking about those scallops but the charter don't want you going below 60' without Advanced OW(this is not to say I disagree).
