Last time I dove Canyon Lake (late last summer) the vis was good and the water darn cold at about 50'. I'm wondering if the flooding has had an impact similar to Travis on the vis and water temp this summer. Anyone been out diving out there recently? I've been thinking of heading that way in a couple of weeks.

Go for it.

Dived the south shore off Cranes Mill Park on Aug 3, 2007. Conditions are similar to that of Travis with the exception that there is less flow going through the entire lake, so the water is warmer and a little clearer than Travis. Lake is at 915 ft. msl, (normal level is 909 ft. msl). Current dam releases are at around a normal 4726 cfpm.

Dived a 3mm wetsuit, AL80s, max depth 80ft.
