can't see thumbnails

When I view messages, I cannot see the thumbnails, although I see replies wherein others comment on them. So I know they're there, I guess just not for me. :-(

Any trick to see them? Do I have the wrong theme selected or something? I think I'm using the SB Default one.

If it helps any, I CAN see the thumbnails in the galleries.

Thoughts?

Yes, checked. But still no thumbnails. Any other thoughts?

By unchecking the "show images", I now get links I can click on whereas before the thumbnail boxes were blank. Better than nothing I guess. However, if you have any other ideas, that would be appreciated!
