Can't and Shouldn't go home again

This one is for all the people that relocated to Florida from up north.
I decided to go back north last weekend after 15 years in Fl.
Just for the weekend mind you. It took all of 15 seconds to remember why I left in the first place. The gray sky, cold and damp air, dry air from the heat inside the buildings, bad highways, and all the rest of what a east coast town in the north has to offer. Me and my wife never left the car when we went out to see if anything had changed (which it hadn't). We stayed in the Resort the rest of the time, Didn't ever feel like gambling.
I can't figure why anyone would want to live there. (keep in mind I did for 33 years) It was depressing. I was never so happy to get on a plane in my life.
Now at least I know where home is.

I understand why people from up North want to live in Florida. What I don't understand is why I always overhear them saying, "Up North we do it like this" If it's so great up there, why are we covered up with snowbirds ever winter?

... well preserved wrecks without wildlife all over them . The other as previously stated is well paying jobs for us manufacturing folks. I still hear those sirens calling , but family stuff keeps me up here, so I will deal with what I have.
