I have recently purchased a Canon G1 X camera and am really battling to get a decent quality video underwater.

The still shots are stunning but I cannot seem to get the correct white balance, colour mix and exposure for videos on 1920X1080 resolution.

Can anyone possibly assist?

Shooting video is very different from taking stills
As a start I would recommend to check if your camera is capable of exposure and focus lock and also to get a filter for your wide angle lens
In my signature you have a link to my YouTube channel the recent videos are shot with an obsolete Sanyo xacti with an inon uwl100 and a push up filter
For macro you need a decent focus light

Thanks Cumbo I will try this
