I am looking to trade up from Olympus to either Canon 7D DSLR or Nikon D7000. Both are great cameras but I am not sure which is better for long term underwater photography. From what I read thus far in books and online, Canon has the advantage in video but Nikon has more lens and more pros seem to favor the Nikon line. However, I am concerned about Nikon reliability and what I see online with autofocus and hot pixel issues. I would be interested in hearing from Canon owners who considered Nikon and why they chose the Canon 7D over the Nikon.
