Has anyone tried the above? - I have the Tokina lens but was wanting to get a bit closer (headed to the Galapagos and want to get up/close personal shots with sea lions - which the tokina may be too wide for)

I don't have the zoom gear for the hit lens so it would be fixed before I got it in the water.

Any suggestions welcome!!

I have both lens and nx dome (the compact one)... but never try them yet.... but from the measurement it does fit... why dont u just use the tokina..... it can focus close enough.... just my 2cent....:D

I don't take my T2i underwater but the first thing I did was replace that lens. It is not particularly sharp. If you are going to be up close to the sea lions why would the Tokina not take some great shots? Isn't that the whole point of wide angle?
