what do people do that dive both sidemount and backmount doubles when choosing a canister light? do people have two light one with the angle adapter and one with out.

I’m using the DR EX35 for both SM and BM CCR. It has the SM head. For BM CCR, I attach it to my left scrubber cam band with the light can head down. Cord goes under scrubbers and over right shoulder. My light is on my right hand.

Tons of options. A sm gland light routes very well in bm. A bm gland can route very well in sm, but if you have it too low like below your butt you can stretch and damage the cord. In sm I've butt mounted, spine mounted, and right hip (like in bm) mounted. I also have a spare sm head for my bm light allowing me to go between the two.

I'm using the Orcatorch D630 which has an adjustable gland to position for either BM or SM. Seems to work well in the SM configuration I typically use it for.
