We spend plenty of time with the whale sharks. In fact most people get tired of being in the water. Life jackets are mandatory unless one is wearing a wetsuit. We also provide seasickness alternatives so that there is no seasickness to our guests. Permits are mandatory in the area and parque marino checks frequently. This limits illegal boats as was evident a few years ago. The whale sharks start dropping below the surface in the afternoon which is why the tourist boats leave, otherwise they would be doing later trips.
