I know a couple of instructors over there. They are great people, but they must abide by the company rules. AW runs there boats at whatever the capacity is. (read cattle boat) They look like lemmings jumping off the ship.
I was down the first week of Sept. and the resort prices had gone up 40%! My budget was shot just getting there. There are several good ops in Cancun. I always dive with Ben Mooney. As the old adage goes....you get what you pay for.
Drop Ben an email and get some pricing for the type of dives you'd like to do. Reef diving is great in Cancun. It just gets a bad rap because of the close proximity to Coz.
