Evidently, even among the fairly level headed "Staff" logical realism is a crusade based on personal weakness.

LOL.... it's a nice try, mate.

But the fact is that all of us, you included, have their own "pet issues".

We've been hammering back and forth about this for years. I respect your consistency but don't pretend that you have the high-ground... you have a differing opinion, nothing more.

That said... I'd dive you with you any day :D peace, brother.

Some "PET" topics just stand the test of time better than others.

And splits vs not and bpw vs vest best of all :eyebrow:

Rather than opinion, is it not fact that world wide on a daily basis, significantly more than half the recreational dives are made using vest BC's?

Rather than opinion, is it not fact that there is no test data on modern BC's from which to state one "style" BC has less drag or vents easier?

And there you go inevitably poking the bear :shakehead:

Unlike you, I don't give a rat's ass.

I know a LOT of divers (as do you)

Some of them dive in jackets all of the time... some of them dive in jackets some of the time....

BP/W in my neck of the woods are a fact of life because many divers dive in twins and choose for that...

... but overal.... it doesn't matter at all.... What matters is that people choose the BCD that suits their needs.

If the bears poke the shark first ... :dontknow:

Shark? :headscratch: I would have guessed Sucker. ;)

In the host language of my domicile, "hale" is house or home and "manō" is shark. The first dive shop I worked for is in Haleiwa, which translates to home of the frigate bird (iwa). Shark's Home also has the same initials as Steve Hensley. That Hawaii State GE Tax License business name and my business card pic (avitar pic) all happened many years before I was "suckered" into a "BC discussion" on ScubaBoard.

:shakehead:

Also, my "stage name" as a cliff diver at Waimea Falls Park was Manō and there are a number of Oahu hula dancers and musicians who "only" remember me by that alias. :dontknow:
