Can you have too much gear ?

It is possible to have too much gear I suppose. If you aren't using it then maybe you have too much. There is a dive shop in town with an old double hose reg on display. The guy told me someone brought it in with a bunch of gear he wanted to sell but they told him that they didn't need his old stuff even though he had just had it rebuilt/refinish...so he gave it to them...and there it sits...with no one diving it...sad really.
 
I own a single set of gear...1 tank, 1 bp/w, 1 set of regs, etc. My wife says it's not the size of my gear inventory that's important, it's how you use it. After reading this it's obvious that she is wrong and I really need to increase the size of my inventory.
 
My name is Randy and I am another CL junkie and support 2 divers with my habit. ;)

Fortunately I buy and sell enough gear that I am in the black over the last few yrs on gear expenditure. The packages I buy are from tech junkies and families getting out of diving. I keep what I want and sell the rest.:D

And I have a small stores worth of gear!:cool2:
