I do 95% of my diving in the daytime. You know my profile - Open Water Froo Froo diving, etc. That's a lot of money for a light.

I've built a career differentiating price vs value to companies. For me, it IS a question of price, as the value just isn't there for me and my dive profile. It might be WORTH $500 - $700, but for me, its still too much.

I am however enjoying learning abouu this stuff. We never see Canister lights in So Cal.

Lets do a dive together and I'll show you mine. Its only a 10watt HID, but you will still fall in love with it. I can't imagine diving without my light now, even in broad daylight.

I didn't realize how big this thing was until now...

*sigh*

I have actually never regretted schlepping my light cannon on a daylight dive. The kelp canopy gets pretty thick sometimes.

I've never regretted taking it with me. I have OFTEN regretted NOT taking it with me. Now that I think about it, the reasons it doesn't come on every dive is because its not part of the kit - its "a light..." Something I need to decide to carry with me if the dive conditions warrant it.

A canister light would be integrated into the rig, as part of the rig - so it's always there. And because of the Goodman handle (how do I get a handle named after me....?) its sort of integrated in to the diver. So it always goes, you know? Its never "do I need the light...? - should I take it on this dive.... etc."

OK, OK... I'm working myself into the value proposition.

Hmmmm....

For those of us who have never seen a stage.

Woah. I'd end up swiming in circles, like a Pelican in fishing line if I strapped that hog to my side.

I just happened to have two empty diet coke cans on my desk - is that thing 14" high or something?

I don't know if I would be strapping that thing to my harness, I'd probably just stage rig it like fido.:D

...or as you would say it "around 35 centimeters, mate".

I have 16# in the ACB (per side). Would the Canister light clip to the outside of the ACB? There's lose (not lose-lose, maybe better: available) webbing...how do these fasten to the belt? Clip, slot?

Sorry to be such a Mel, but its hard to visualize some of this stuff.

Thanks again.

I now return you to bashing O-Ring's V2
