I can not download the dive log from the Cobalt 1 computer. Have tried a couple of programs currently trying DiveLog Manager. I am trying to download to a MacBook Pro. It seems the Mac does not see the cobalt. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you been able to download dives from this Cobalt in the past and it's just not working now? If so, it's possible there is a problem with the adapter or cable. A broken USB side of the adapter can result in a failure to establish a data connection. This could be tested by trying to go through the firmware update process for the Cobalt 1 from the Atomic Website, or if possible by trying another adapter or cable.

If that's not the issue...
The Cobalt 1, unlike the Cobalt 2, will not be seen by computers as a mass storage device and appear on the desktop, but requires a dive log program that knows how to connect to it. Known Mac or Mac compatible programs that use the open source libdivcomputer project:
Sub Surface: http://subsurface.hohndel.org open source, multi- platform
Dive Log Manager: http://www.moremobilesoftware.com/Dive_Log_Manager.html
MacDive: http://www.mac-dive.com

There is a specific connection required for each program for the Cobalt 1, if you are not getting it to work checking with the developer would be your best bet. In the past, MacDive has been extremely responsive and helpful.

Knowing the firmware version you are running on the Cobalt 1 is very helpful.

Let me know what you find.

Ron
