Of course you can. The question is, for what?
It appears to have a J-valve, and is non-isolation. Is that what you want?

i would probably prefer this ,but almost everyone i see is set up for two regs. i wasn't sure if there was a reason they are so hard to find.

I'm guessing it's because most people who want more gas simply go with a higher capacity cylinder.

like a 106 hoop wrap? i don't think the dive shop buy me fills tanks past 3k. I'm sure i will have more info after i finish my equipment specialist class ( after my EFR witch im working on now) i just figured a set up like this would give me more bottom time with the set up reg i already have.

It's likely that as you get more dives under your belt you will use air less rapidly. Then, depending on the type of diving you prefer, you might discover you don't need to go beyond common tanks such as the AL80.

Aqualung should still make it since it is currently still used by the military at their dive schools. Although, they might not sell it anymore to the public, just to military contracts. I had a bunch I got surplus a while ago and was selling them on here so you can still find them occasionally on sites like this or ebay. I'd sell you one but I no longer have any more. The downside of it, like people said is that is not a isolation valve, and it has the Reserve (J) mechanism. Additionally, they are designed for a AL80 when it comes to spacing. If you want to use tanks that are a different size/capacity, you will have a hard time getting bands that will fit. In fact, tanks larger than a AL80 might be too wide and not fit at all. You could get one on, but not two.

Check out DaleC's avatar...... vintage crowd loves them.....

no isolation means it is actually just one big(ger) tank.... J valve can be an "issue"....

It is a slight variant from the elusive "cheater bar' that was used to connect tanks back in the day...... still pissed that i passed up on one and a set of bands for 7.25" tanks.....:banghead:

You can make it work until you have a major leak.

My short answer is, "no". You can't use this and expect it to be any safer than a single tank with a single valve.

If you're using dual tanks then for God's sake put a proper manifold on it!

I wonder how you would properly torque those valves?.....
