Im having trouble finding the formula for displacement and lift bag use? I know you use 64lbs p/cfsw and 62.4 for fw. I dont remember the rest. Thanks in advance

You must find out the area of the object, and depending on the shape of the object that formula will change.
Some objects are crazy shapes and that will be more work to figure out the area but again the shape will determine the formula.

..and after you calculate that area, it diplaces that much area of water! simple math after that, area times the wieght of the fresh water or salt water.

Is that what you are after?

See you topside! John

As someone pointed out I should have said or typed Volume for area.
Thanks!

And consider the weight of the object. For example, if an object that weighs 192 pounds is sunk in saltwater and displaces one cubic foot of water, you'll need to add two cubic feet of air to a lift bag to acheive neutrality.

Area?

Or volume?

Lack of sleep. I was only working in two dimensions! I just hope the OP got the Idea even if I muffed it!
Some sent me private messages to tell me how I made a booboo! Thanks! I own that one!
I should have typed Archimedes Principle explains it the best!
