It is a tank designed to be used to fill a buoyancy compensator like the older Fenzy horsecollar BC.

The BC has a fitting that looks like the end of a regular scuba tank valve that fits to this tank, and in addition the small tank can be attached to a larger tank to be refilled by transfilling from the big tank to the little one prior to each dive.

It is specifically for a Nemrod horsecollar BC from the 1970's. I had one.

yeh I found the old BC in the group of gear, considering its age its in pretty good condition....not that I would use it!! Thanks all for your help in educating me!

If you do plan on filling this tank please have a very good look inside first. These little tanks are used for adding air to horse collar BC's. It was very common for them to get water inside. They can be full of rust.

If you don't plan on using it offer it for sale to vintage divers in the vintage section.
