Welp, after 4 phone calls and an online submission, I finally got the form and work order number for my camera in order to send it and my housing back to Olympus after the flood. It'll be sent out Friday to Cali-Oly per the forums recommendation.

Considering the responses from other 5060 users with the PT020 housings, I'm probably gonna go ahead and purchase the Ikelite housing for the camera. Olympus doesn't seem to want to acknowledge a problem with their housings and the lower left corner Oring slippage thats been reported so often and everyone else seems happy with Ike's product :) I shoulda gone with it in the first place, my LDS told me to, the info was here online, and now I have a $180 housing that I hope to never use again - LOL.

Ah well... Looked into the Light-n-Motion housings, but they are too proud of em... $1500 for the housing, SHEESH!

Just got all my stuff replaced by them. They send it to Happauge anyway. Stay on those people. It took me a long time to get mine back - with shipping days, and letters and no we didn't ship yet, etc... .they ended up replacing the housing and the cam. Good luck.

Stay on them.

So if I send the cam to Cali, it still goes to NY? LOL

I guess I'll just cut out CA and decrease the delivery time by just sending it to NY myself. I plan on bothering them about the camera as long as it takes - ugh!

I was so fired up it was going to SoCal. I sent it, and when I was weeks and weeks into this little drama, on one of my zillion calls I demanded to know where it was - they said in NY. I was pretty shocked. The replacements were sent from there, as well.

Who knows. Just stay on them.

I found the Ike 5060 housing for $509 at B&H, I haven't done much looking around for better pricing.

Any new news from OLY?

I sent it earlier this week, tracking shows it showing up today, so I'll be calling Tuesday or Wednesday next week. :D

It was flooded with fresh spring water, so I'm hoping its not gonna be too messy!

I bought one of these devices. it is a light that turns on when there is too much moisture present in the housing. I talked to a guy that swears by them in ohio. He said it helped him notice a leak and save his cam and his trip. It works great i have used it on a couple dive and if the cam is getting to damp from even condensation it lets you know. At least you may be able to surface with one of these before your camera is totally destroyed.

Has oly let you know what caused your housing to leak yet. I bought my cam and housing from 17th street also about two months before you and am wondering if there is a lot problem or if it is a problem in general. I was just wonering what their excuse was for the housing leaking. thanks
