Never dealt with them but realistically when everyone else is selling that camera for over $1000, there's something not quite right. I would wonder if it's an import model and also if the 1 year warranty is handled thru them, not Sony. Notice that it doesn't say mfr's. warranty.BKP:After a little more research and seeing what some on here had to say, I've settled on the Sony HDR-HC3, and Ikelite housing.
I've found the camcorder itself at USAPhotonation for $570.
Question... has anyone dealt with this vendor? Their prices seem extremely low compared to some others, however, everything seems to be in order, and they note when the product is new or refurbished.
Also when you click the contents link all it says is call for details. I'd make sure you get a battery(Sony NP-FP60), Sony battery charger, Memory Stick Duo card + adapter. composite & component cables, camera strap, etc, all the stuff that comes in the normal retail box for that price. Typically low price dealers like this will upsell you on all this stuff that's normally included from a regular dealer...
Might also want to verify that the menus are in English, I've seen some Japanese menu HDV imports on eBay, maybe this is one.
If you want to compare this to a legitimate dealer price, price it on www.bhphotovideo.com or www.abesofmain.com.
And personally, I'm a little wary when I can't find a legitimate street address anywhere. Anyone can put up a website and with an 800#.
