looks like a big guy...how big would you guess?

For some reason he didn't look that big at the time but now that I'm looking at the picture I guess those are pilot fish near his head. They look pretty small...

My family lives in Boca and we were all certified in those waters. On our final ocean dive for OW, everyone in our group (except me) got to watch a huge hammerhead cruise by, while was snooping for bugs...

Instructor spoke for hours about the luck we had (except me) at such a sighting in that area, especially on a certification dive. I'm left with the story of the one that got away...

I met a guy recently who was saying in the old days dive ops used to feed a bunch of Hammerheads regularly off the pier in Deerfield.

In the past 6 months, when my wife and I dive early in the morning off our own little boat, we see stuff. 1 reef shark, 2 bulls and this guy. Guess when there's just the two of us we are the minority and they come over and check us out.

Yup
I see one or two sharks everytime I dive out there. Big change from here in Japan. If I am lucky, once in a while I might see a strange cousin of the nurse shark...
