Cape Cod has a decent shore dive at Sandwich Town Beach. It's a sandy beach entry, so you don't have to worry about rocky entries

Hathaway's Pond in Hyannis isn't half bad either if you just want a simple dive. There's a sunken boat, a car and some rock formations that divers have added to over the years. In the middle of the winter some guys do some ice diving in Hathaway's as well.

There is also Garbage Beach in Woods Hole. This dive is another easy entry with quite a bit of undersea life.

Aside from a few other shore dives that covers my neck of the woods! (plenty of boat diving though)

Just keep diving until you aren't comfortable or you aren't enjoying it, then you'll know when the end of your season is. I tend to agree with the late october thing for those diving wet though... after that, the surface intervals are too much.

We'll have to see how I feel in a dry suit though... :)

I've always said that the water is warmer in Sept that it is in June, it's just the air that isn't.
