California Diver found trapped in kelp dies

This is thought to be a case of Shallow Water Blackout according to reports. Free diving is inherently risky especially when using techniques which purge the CO2 from the bloddstream. I certainly do not know enough. This report in particular has me wanting to take some additional free-diving safety classes.
