Cabo in may

Just booked a trip to cabo for a week this may 3rd. I've never been and just need a crash course. is this a good time of the year to dive? I am bringing my camera gear so any recommended must do's are greatly appreciated. Also can i get away with a 3 mill suit? or need a 5mm? Was looking at Manta divers but open to any suggestions or ideas. Budget friendly is alway good...

any info or tips are greatly appreciated.
