Got back from Cabo earlier this month. Cool and breezy at night. Water temps were also cold, and I recommend at least a 5 mm wetsuit.
Went with Donna (who I met on this board) who helped arrange a trip for our mixed group of divers/snorkelers. She's been living in Cabo for years and knows the area well, and we had an excellent time. We went out to the newly formed beach near the marina which was very nice. I had hoped to hit Cabo Pulmo, but from what others have said here and according to her, conditions were probably too blustery and cold. She picked us up from our hotel (which was at San Jose del Cabo, a 20 minute highway drive from Cabo, so essential) and arranged a dive/snorkel trip. Very cool sand waterfall there, some nice morays. No seals others than those seated on the rocks. The next day she shuttled us to Chileno beach for some kayaking and excellent snorkeling. So if you're in need of some guidance, I'd recommend her.
It was a relaxing trip and I preferred San jose to Cabo -- much more quiet, laid back. Thanks Donna!
