C cards and diffrent certifing agencies

Hey guys I was at a dive shop this weekend and they are an SSI I had taken a look at there C cards and they are really nice with the added courses that the person had taken such as nitrox night diver wreck etc. Why doesn't Padi follow suit also and add the added skills or do they do that now??

it's not about losing/making money - i think the point is that after you do a course you get your C-card updated with *all* of your specialties - and/or highest qual - listed,

eg: Advanced Open Water
Enriched Air Diver
Wreck Diver

then you do a few more courses:

Rescue Diver
Enriched Air Diver
Wreck Diver
Deep Diver


etc

IIRC instructors do have something like this "specialty instructor", etc

You can get the individual cards, you just have to put another dollar in. Wait, that one is taken. I know.. Simply Spend It. That one will work

Unless there is a specific need, I only show my SSI OW card and the Nitrox card (yes, I have a separate one).

If I am dealing with a real PITA, I bring out my original NASDS card...

I *really* wish PADI would just have one card that gets updated each time you progress thru a course. It's not even the cost of a new or updated card that I don't like, it is just that I now have to have my regular c-card, my nitrox card, and since I just finished Rescue, I guess I'll have to tote my Rescue card also. I would just like to have my nitrox designated on whatever my most recent card is...

If you carry Rescue you don't need to carry OW.

and you can order a Rescue card that indicates Nitrox. Just gotta pay them. Go here and see under "Replace your card on-line." Yes it's dumb that they don't just do it, but I half believe it's because their systems are pathetic rather than money grubbing, as they don't really even promote the combined cards.
