I use dive rite's BX2s as my back up lights for cave diving, and after the recent trip, I noticed one of them would turn on by itself
Once turned on, the light produces a very very faint light output (much fainter than any of the normal operational modes)

BX2 is a twist-on light, so I tried twisting it off, and I would twist it to the point that I could see the edge of one of the o-rings, but the light still wouldn't turn off
Anyone knows what might be keeping it on? My only guess is that the spring in the battery compartment is too strong?

Does it happen with different 18650? I’m partially convinced the stock battery isn’t the best choice. One of mine is fine relative to internal light housing diameter, one is not.

I didn't try it with other 18650 because I only noticed the issue in the last two days of diving

But diameter wise, my batteries fit snug (in a good way) so I don't think thats the issue

The turning on problem doesnt happen on the surface, so I suspect its more about the length of the battery rather than its diameter

I know XTAR 18650 are shorter than the ones supplied with BX2, so I will definitely try them on the next trip
