BVI Operators

I am in Puerto Rico now and would like to do a quick island hopover to BVI. Can anyone recommend a good Dive Operator and some comments on them. Also a place to stay would like some feedback on that also. I am travelling alone and really would like to stay on a land based lodging since I have been filming in the water for a few weeks. And can anyone explain "rendevous diving"? Thanks to allin advance

Rendezvous diving is diving provided by land-based ops to people who are staying on yachts -- op picks up at the yacht's anchorage or mooring.
Which op to use depends on which island you want to stay on! We've used Aquaventures/We Be Divin' at Village Cay Marina in Road Town, Tortola over the past 3 years. Good service, personalized diving to your interests & abilities. They can help you find a hotel if you tell them what you're looking for. We stayed at the Treasure Isle, nearby, and at Myett's in Cane Garden Bay -- there are lots of good places to stay in the BVI but take note that taxis are very expensive!

I've used Dive Tortola twice and have been very happy with them. Nice boats and I've never had more than 8 divers. Very good crew. They are on the west end of Roadtown, Tortola.

I like DiveBVI on Virgin Gorda. Very friendly and helpful bunch. Virgin Gorda is nice and quiet. If you're traveling by yourself, you can get there from Puerto Rico by Air Sunshine (semi-scheduled air service) and we've stayed each year at Guavaberry Spring Bay. It has been great as a family trip for me, in that I can dive each morning (two-dive trips leaving 8:30 am, returning around 1 pm) yet still spend most of the day with my family (my wife and son tend to be satisfied with one day of diving during the week).
