I was there from June 18 to July 1. We stayed on Virgin Gorda, and dove with Dive BVI out of Leverick Bay 6 days a week, all 3 weeks. It's amazing how many dive sites there are! We only repeated maybe 6 times, which IMO is not bad. And after all, it's not like you don't see anything new...

I would definitley recommend Dive BVI to you; we tried 'the other' operator (Kilbride's), and were appalled at their operating procedures, and by the conduct of the boat crew (El___e and some other goof). We've been diving with Dive BVI every year since about 2002, and wouldn't think of changing.

Also we got nitrox certified while down there. Their nitrox system is a membrane system mixing 32%. I found that the fills were quite close to the desired percentage, even though they had only recently gotten the N2 absorption dialed in perfectly.

As for dive sites, I would absolutely recommend Chikuzen if you're a competent diver. Along with dozens of barracuda and hundreds of other fish, there's also a resident 6-foot jewfish. Also the Rhone is quite good, along with just about all other sites.

There are more than enough people diving the bvi's now. Please don't encourage more. Yes I am selfish, but there are so many incredible sites well beyond the Rhone, which is a great dive, just a bit busy. The world's largest trimaran (Cuan Law) does liveaboards and is based there. Send everyone else to Cozumel, they'll love all the powerboats!

Sebastian's has great rooms, an incredible restaurant and is affordable in the off season. I am jealous you are doing Cuan Law.

This thread died last summer, so you've probably single-handedly encouraged more ... ;)
