hello,
For all of you guys who hate LP, if you call diversdiscount.com and tell them LP's price, they will match it and include the warranty. This is what I do. They are a great company, great Customer Service and Great Returns department.

Cool...I don't hate LP, but like additional options.

And diversdiscount.com is in California (so, I'll have to factor sales tax into the picture)...I'll try them at some point.

There are many dive shops who sell items on line. Scubatoys.com is who i am buying from and they beat LP prices plus it just as if i walked into there store and got the item. They are in texas so those who live here have to pay taxes.

Remember always call to make sure the person you are buying is a dealer. just cause they say they are does not mean they are. If you buying zeagle products call zeagle and ask.

And remember some companies like scuba pro and atomic WILL NOT allow their products sold via the phone or internet. You WILL NOT get a warranty no matter what the seller says.

I agree! ScubaToys is in a land-locked area of Texas but they are one of the most successful dive shops in the country. They carry Scubapro but comply with the wish that it not be sold on line. I bought a premium BCD from them and saved over $100 and saved sales tax. The BCD came with full warranty which I will probably never use. Remember, the dive business isn't who supplies the warranty, the manufacturer covers that. P.

I'm curious about a few things:

1) What problems have people had with LP? I've only bought small stuff from them and never had a problem.

2) According to:

This has not been my experience. As a matter of fact, just this week I'm shopping around to buy my wife a Zeagle Escape. The *lowest* ScubaToys will go is $345 - LP has them for $289. That's a big difference.

3) diversdiscount.com said they would match the price, if LP has them in-stock.

In general, if it's "mechanical" (BC, Reg), I'm not as concerned about the warranty. I'm going to be ordering a Vyper soon - don't know if I'll do that via LP or not. They have it for 324.95. The lowest I can find at my LDS is $450 - that's some difference - especially since I'm thinking of buying 2!

My first ever experience with LP was last week. I bought two Cobras with compasses and quick-disconnects. They arrived quickly, fully assembled, and work great. As much as I wanted to buy from my LDS, I saved almost $600, which is enough to buy a third one if I needed it. It's really hard to justify spending 1/3 more on something to get a manufacturer's warranty that will most likely never be needed.

Hello,
I have also bought alot from LP, just would prefer to buy from DiversDiscount because I get a full warranty, and they are just a great company. Call them up and see for yourself

Larry from ScubaToys indicated that they *will* match price on gear they can sell online. He really took the time to explain their commitment to the customer and I would recommend giving them a try - I know I will.

So, if you call ScubaToys and the person you talk to is not matching price, ask for Larry and metion ScubaBoard!

Just wanted to be sure I let everyone know my mistake.
