"By the end of the week it was time for a leisure dive. Our testers had a choice of any of the test regulators, and four emerged as clear favourites - the Apeks and the Aqua-lung, the Tusa (a surprise newcomer to the UK market) and the Mares. That quartet was closely followed by the Oceanic and Scubapro models.
It was no surprise to find that the regulators considered best were among the more expensive, though the test divers were largely unaware of the specific prices at the time of the test."

Buff, do you have a link to that article? I'm just curious which specific regs they included in their test.

And look what the female said about the Apeks mouthpiece!!

"A pleasure to put in my mouth - I'd happily go down on this any day!"

.........ohhh, to be an Apeks mouthpiece.

Scubapro all the way! Everybody sells and services them everywhere. I have heard alot of good things about the Apeks/Zeagle regs, but nobody here sells or services the stuff, and they seem to fetch a stiffer price. That shouldn't deter you though. Buy the best you can afford. Don't get some crappy reg like my buddy did, the "Sherwood Brut". If money is a serious concern however, maybe you should go hiking. It is alot safer and cheaper (but not nearly as much fun).

anyway, good luck!

Is this article out there somewhere online? What specific regulators did they test?
