I am going to buy a PowerMac G5... it looks really nice, just what I need right now... I am looking for somebody to tell me a horror story about macs.... I am not looking for somebody to persuade me to buy a PC, but rather just some horrible stories about this specific Mac or any other story you have heard.

any praises for this computer?

No horror stories from me. I miss my days with my Mac. Just couldn't build my own and that became not only a priority for me but part of my fun. Oh how I miss my Mac.

I hated older macs. However, with the advent of OS X, the new OS is solid. More solid than windows in my opinion. Built on good old FreeBSd originally.

Sorry, but I've never had a horror story with a Mac.

Go for it. Which speed are you getting?

on my fourth Mac, no horror stories ever. Have a dual processor G5 now.

Horror stories of a Mac ???
That's an incongruity if there ever was one. ;)
The closest thing I can think of is that these days they make you pay for customer/tech support. Unless, of course, you go into one of the stores and hook up with the 'geniuses', then it's still free.

Got several, all the way back to a 7500/100 (that one stays, it's got the lifetime support - and makes a decent printer server).

I have a mac both desktop and powerbook, only issue is on the powerbook with the screen, fixed now but was a pain, desktop unit has worked fine for me, not like my Dell which runs XP and has needed to have the OS reinstalled twice, Macs are fine, that's my 2 cents
