Pretty close to my purchase, one last thing. I purchased the Seaquest PRO QD+ and was wondering if I go with the Scubapro mk20 and s600 any incompatablities with this BC? If i stay with the Aqua-lung regs I assume since the company is the same? that no problems exist. I have also purchased a Suunto gauge package (dial type pressure and depth) because I prefer to wear my Vyper on my wrist and have some redudencies if my computer would fail but I've heard that is rare! Suunto apparently is a division of Aqua-lung or whatever! Thanks for all your help and very helpful posts. I hope that once my reg arrives no matter what reg I go with that I will love it as much as all the loyal Apeks divers. It feels like you all have went from dive shop to dive shop with me! Thanks....Eric

Typically, the only time a reg will be incompatible with a particular BC is via the low pressure inflator hose that is already on the regulator (as in the connection to the power inflator is the wrong one).

However, this is rare and in most cases is easily fixed by swapping in inflator hose that came with the BC for the hose that is not compatible.

So the short answer is...almost all regs are compatible with almost all BC's.

TexasMike is right (as usual) all the connections should be standard but if it puts your mind at ease I dive the mk20 s600 with a SeaQuest Balance. All the connections on the Balance and the Pro QD should be the same so you shouldn't have a problem.

Enjoy your new rig.

TexasMike,

Just let me come down there and dive sometime and we will call it even.

I wouldn't consider diving in Texas as a "bribe"............I would take the money instead!

However, if you DO like diving in Texas you'll LOVE diving in Minnesota. We have the same murky visibility but we also offer painfully intense thermoclines too boot!
