Hey guys, My buddy has a Olympus 770sw for snokeling. Yesterday the buttons didnt want to work, we took out the battery and then put it back in and all was good. Now this morning the buttons do not want to work again and the battery removal trick that we used before doesnt want to do its magic trick anymore. Does anybody have any advice on how to remedy this situation or similar experiences involving this type of problem? Cheers, tony.

It sounds like the buttons may have had some salt crystals form in their seals. You might try soaking the camera body for several hours, then rinsing the buttons with running water. Giving an underwater camera a soak in fresh water after use is good practice. Don't let the camera dry out before you soak and rinse it. You can wrap it in a damp cloth or in a plastic bag when you leave the water.
