Hi guys, i would like your input..

Most of the tourism comes from usa, I have passed a lot of time in puerto Vallarta( i am Mexican), doing diving, fishing, eating, party etc.., I own a house(recently purchased 2 years ago) over there but I live in fort worth tx..

So I was wondering in the future(when I am retired) why not go back to mexico and live there and have fun…

Having fun is diving, fishing, be around party etc… so I was wondering and thinking about not a business but service to the tourist. Right know there are big companies that take you to trips in Vallarta with many people, tight schedules, bad food etc…I remembered my entrepreneur class at college and asked my self what can you offer that It is different…

Well I thought what does a tourist want? What do you want guys?
Personal attention, local knowledge of the town you are visiting since the perspective of a guy that lives there? Something completely different from must agencies? A different business model..

I am think of a friend business model..

You book with me, I pick you from the airport in the car I drive every day(honda civic, a jeep etc..) take you to the hotel. Pick you up next day at the hotel, and I will take you to breakfast to the place I would go, we can have some good morning tacos(be sure to drink your pepto bismol before)..After that you are the boss, what do you want to do? We can go to walmart buy some beer(I will be driving you can be drinking) and drinks(for you and your wife or girlfriend, snacks) and I can take you to different beaches around the area( I can carry chairs and umbrellas), downtown, what about fishing in a some pier, or if you just want to lay down on the beach enjoying the sun. then we can have lunch in a restaurant I will go(local) or what if we go to the market buy some fresh seafood and I take you to my home and my wife can teach your wife how to cook the pacific style seafood and we might have a beer.. after that I can take you to your hotel so you can take a siesta and at night I will pick you up and we go party to downtown, with some friends…

You will pay for your beer or drinks, if we go to a restaurant I will pay my food, if you wish I could seat with you to eat and chat if not(some private time with wife) I can stay at other table,. If you want to have seafood cooked in my house, we will split the cost…

So it is more like this are the activities I will do if my best friend or family is visiting me in puerto Vallarta, cozumel, cancun.. just that this time you will be my best friend…

i like taking pictures with my DSLR so i can also be your personal photographer for the trip and i will give you all the pics i take where ever we go and of couurse i will take you pictures...

The cost of the guide services around 120 dollars per couple?

What do you think?

i will not do this for living, i might have to think in other investments for retiring but this will be like a fun services doing it 3 or two days a week..

Good idea?

I think you have a very interesting idea. One of the things I would prefer when I am traveling is to have a more "authentic" local kind of experience . . . going to good restaurants that aren't aimed at tourists, seeing places that don't make guidebooks. On our riverboat cruises in Europe, the cruise company set up a night where passengers would get farmed out to local families for dinner . . . it was much more fun than the "tours".

With transportation included, I think your price is quite fair as well.
