I had the experience of going out on one of Mexico's Platiformos (PEMEX)
I could see 6-8 ft cudas swimming below, we alway had fresh fish for dinners and lunch.
 
so... what are the chances of oil or some other crap leaking from these platforms and ruining the environment?

(as for the oil, it's barely enough to keep the US going for a couple of years, at best; the only people to benefit will be the oil companies... but i digress)

who do you mean other than Mexico?

I know Cuba has some small drilling going on near its coast ... but that's about it
