Hey does anyone know what the current water temps are for Gilboa and White Star?????

Thanks much :)

Bryan

About a week ago the water temps at Gilboa were reported at 41-43 I believe. Heck, I just might go with my shorty!

Our students were a mixture of drysuit and wetsuit this weekend. The ladies in wetsuits were averaging 25 minute dives before the dives got called due to the shivering.

It was 48 degrees on the platform next to plane today and 40 near near the tubes.

whitestar was a balmy 50' F yesterday. We easily pulled off a 40 min dive including the 60' hole in 7mm wetsuits.

Since the temp doesn't really change at the Tubes (i.e., 42ºF, 5ºC), I can say that a 7mm FJ/J works fine. I also have 3mm booties, 5mm gloves, and either 5mm or 6.5mm hood (ususally alternating to start with the one that's driest). If you're staying on the "shallow" side, you'll be fine; however, on the dive to the deep side that I did with diverbrian, I was getting *cold*.

Have fun at the M&G!
