Bungee cord source!

Finally found a CHEAP source of 1/8" bungee cord online that I thought I'd share with scubaboard - I've only just placed an order with them, so I don't know how good the service is, but here's the link anyway:

1/8" black cord is only 25c a foot versus 60c a foot I've seen elsewhere. Buying by the roll is way cheaper, but who needs 500 feet?

Reason for posting this is there have been a few posts about using bungee for computer and compass straps lately, and I couldn't find a single hardware store in San Francisco that stocked bungee by the foot, and I figured other people might want to track some down as well.

I went to HomeDepot yesterday and bought some tarp holddowns that are 2' long 1/8 inch black bungee. Ten per pack . think i paid 2 or 3 dollars for the whole pack and it came in a plastic storage can whcih i can use for my save a dive kit.. 20ft of bungy for a few dollars was fine with me.

in fact there sitting right in front of me. heres what they are exacly:

Canopy Tarp Ties
bungee straps
10 cords per can
12" length ( its a loop so its actually 2' when you cut the plastic ball off)

its a clear can with a black top

Its perfect unless you need the 500'

I have a 350' spool of Mil-Spec 1/8" bungee floating around here someplace.
Anyone in a pinch, give a yell.
The home Depot thing sounds good, bungee plus cat toys...

We got some black 1/8" bungee at REI for 15¢ a ft.

White el-cheapo generic stuff for about $19 a 500'roll, but they nailed me for a $10 "below minimum" charge, so I bought a roll of 1/4" to use for heavy duty tarp ties too. The 1/4" stuff is about $40/roll
