Looking for a source for the thinner bungee cord, say 1/8" or so. Preferably somewhere I won't have to buy a 100' spool! :D

My local boating supply store has many sizes on rolls you can buy by the foot.

McMaster Carr. Search "bungee cord". They have 3/16, 1/8 and more "fabric covered latex rubber cord," UV-resistant polypropylene and nylon types. $0.10 - $0.30 per foot. They have 50' spools

I also got some 1/8" nylon-covered at my local REI, $0.15/ft and they cut to order.

Thanks all. :) No REI, I'll hit the hardware stores, and try those before online sales.

nearly any outdoor supply store will have bungee by the foot in all sizes. What I've found hard to get is the small surgical tubing. the elastic rubber cloth-coated bungee seems to be everywhere, but the black surgical tubing in 2mm and 4mm (thin) is hard to find.
