Bummed! no cheap flights or packages from BWI

I was so planning on a trip back to Villablanca and Scuba Mau with the family like last year but there is absolutely no good deals for July/August like last year, especially without the orbutz 200entertain. I've worked all kinds of scenarios..seperate flight bookings, packages, alternate days of the weeks and I'm looking at at least DOUBLE what it cost our family last year
Any suggestions? Cheapest airfare I've found is $550, all the Continental requires an overnite in Houston. Blah !!

Yeah, $404 for most dates on Delta in July & August from DCA to CZM RT

$325 from BWI to CUN on American except some dates require 7am returns which means spending the night at a airport hotel. I'd rather pay more to CZM.

I don't guess travel day of week is important or you would have said so, and fares are often higher on Saturdays - but not some Saturdays. See Matrix - ITA Software I see plenty of Cont same day flights too.

I see BWI-CZM on Orbitz: Cont Air (same day flights) & Villablanca package for $779 each plus use 100Vacation code to get that down to $729 each - add $10/night each for Superior room, which I would do. Call 866-540-7058 for free help.

CheapCaribbean.com does packages that include American Air which Orbitz does not, and while their site sucks to work with - their phone agents are nice as well as free. They have a $50 first time customer discount and may beat Orbitz. Call 1-800-915-2322 even if you can get their site to work.

So when do you really want to go, how many people, how many rooms...??

Just checked ITA for July and plucked in BWI-Cun 11 to 18 on orbitz.You can book air and Villblanca for 900 dollars using 100vacation coupon.Just book 2 passangers at a time using coupon.You will have an extra room or can tell hotel you don't need it when you get there.Transfer from Cuncun is really no big deal at all.

I went on orbitz and found 750 pp for 18-28 JUL. I guess thats the best I can do and should go ahead and book it.
not sure i want to do the bag drag thing thru cancun, but it could be fun...as in an experience?
