Who the hell said anything about paying for instruction?

I don't know what kind of dive culture you have down in Texas, but what we are talking about might require a case of beer....I stress the might and question the beer part.

Well, he came here and asked. What information did you offer that was helpful and addressed his question? "Get more training" is not helpful information to address the question, is it?

I think he has some direction now so hopefully he will find a cost effective way of getting into the equipment he wants.

In Texas, we aren't afraid to assemble our own rigs without unneeded training.

Cave Adventures set me up nicely with my setup. OMS backplate, Oxycheq wing and Dive Rite harness and tank straps. Single tank setup and I dive with a steel HP130 and love it. So much cleaner than my Zeagle Ranger. Everybody talks well about DeepSeaSupply though too.
