Hi all,

I'm looking for a budget dive computer that allows for gas switching during a dive.
The cheaper the better but I need gas switching.

Can you please advise on any model?
Garmin descent g1 would be an option if it weren't so expensive

Thank you all

+1 for the Excursion. It's my backup computer and matches by Perdix perfectly

I once found an old ScubaPro Aladin Matrix that could do this, still waaaay overpriced though now when you can get a Shearwater.

Anything old that isn't a Shearwater seems like it should be ~$100 or less now.

CAN you change gases during the dive (as the OP asked)?

My old Oceanic Atom 3.0 worked very much like the Veo. It supported 3 gases. But, I could never figure out how to change gases while in the water. Only when it was in Surface mode.

I just looked at the Veo product page and:

The tutorial video showed how to change gases using the smartphone app, but not how to do it on the computer - much less covering whether you can do it during a dive.

The page does not have a link anywhere to look at an actual User Manual.

Gosh, I have to do everything around here.

I am reading quickly through the manual:

Page 31: "GAS MENU
The Gas Menu allows you to manually switch gases during the dive. The Gas Menu Lead-in screen is bypassed if your Veo 4.0 has Gas 2 set to OFF.
See the following section "Gas Switches" for further details on this feature."

Read page 34 onward.
