I'll know tomorrow night if I can make it on Sunday. Had planned to go on Sat but I'll see if I can change.

Millbrook is a lot closer to me, it looks like -- I think I'd be up for that on Sunday. Couple of questions, though (sorry, I'm new to the area!) -- I own a 3mm wetsuit. Is that adequate for the area right now? I don't get cold too easily, but... Also, I don't own my own tanks or weights. Would The Dive Shop or someplace else rent? Someone mentioned that they do air fills, but a quick look at the website didn't have rental info... maybe I just skimmed past it too quickly.

Any advice is appreciated! Sorry for all the questions...

I think that 3mm is never good for this area; I wear 7mm with a hood and gloves all the time and I am thinking to buy a dry suit.
I do not know about the tank, but I believe that most of the dive shops rent tanks, but you have to purchase the weights.

Michelle,

I’m not sure if the thermoclines have inverted yet, it’s still a little early. A week and a half ago the water temperature was in the mid seventies above 35 feet. So as long as you stay above that thermocline you may be alright. It was in the 60s below the first thermocline, and in the low 50s below the second.

Thanks for the replies and info, everyone. I'll do a little more checking into things tomorrow -- I have a paper due tomorrow and need to get cracking, so don't have time to look into dive details tonight! (the life of a grad student... :book: ) If there's someplace that I can rent the equipment I need for a reasonable price (the life of a POOR grad student...), I'll try and join up.

Thanks!

-Michelle.

<replying to myself here!>

With the board being down and being whomped with lots of extra reading for the weekend, I never was able to look into possibly joining anyone anywhere this weekend... bummer. :oops: Hope everyone had fun no matter where you wound up diving!
