Well, we wussed out again today....but I had a good reason..I was on-call for work and needed to get back where there is an Internet connection.

Went to the hole for the first time this year. It was a balmy 45 degrees. Do you guys know where the deepest part is in the quarry? Mike Ferrara said there is a spot that goes to 90 something I thought I remember him saying. I take it is somewhere in there, but where?

I think the depth depends on the water level. If I recall correctly, the deepest I've ever seen was 85'. There is more hole to the south, but the bottom is relatively flat, so I don't think there will be any surprise pits out there.

How did you get to the hole? How was the vis?

Well we surfaced swam over to this little jut out in the quarry wall just east of the south dock....descended by the wall and went directly east....viz was atleast 20 feet..maybe more. We dropped into the hole after about 10 minutes or so at 60 feet...hit 81ft....could of went deeper, but didnt feel like becoming one with the quarry. The viz on the south side of the quarry was worse today...didnt get over to the hole, but by the docks it was less than 10 feet..
