Can anyone tell me how to enter info into the buddy finder like zip code. Also, how it works? Thanks

It's pretty user friendly. Just go to this link: ScubaBoard - Find a Dive Buddy

If it's a US city put the zip code in and then go to the right hand side and set your distance preference. Then scroll down a couple of inches and click the [Find Dive Buddies] button.

If it's outside the US you'll have to enter lat and long instead. Degrees need to entered in decimal form. Be sure to check if it needs a minus sign in front of the degree. Example: 48.23 & -123.59

To enter yourself into Buddy Finder so others can find you, you need to add it to your profile. Follow this link to do that: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/profile.php?do=editprofile

Scroll down almost all the way to the bottom (about 6th option up) and check the "Include in Buddy Finder" box. Then a few boxes lower, put your zip code in and then save changes at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks cave diver for the information. Now I have completed all the steps and can continue on trying to find buddies. The only caves I have done is one close to Chankanoff Park at Cozumel on the shore. Cold water drains from the island to the sea at this cave. Big silver fish lives in there. Also, the Devil's Throat tunnel at Cozumel. It is narrow!
