Analog gauges will decrease in accuracy over time but should be good for at least a few hundred dives before that happens.

+1 on the replacement advice. I've had a dive computer fail on me during a dive and had to switch to my back-up of depth gauge and timing device and refer to the dive table (which is why I always dive with a table in my BCD pocket). If this is your back up, there's no point in having it if it does not work properly. Replacements are not expensive.
