I have noticed that there isn't much mention of BSAC on this site and was wondering what other peoples views were on this club? I am taking my Ocean Diver qualification with them and have had a good experience so far. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Does their qualification have as much weight behind it as PADI etc? Are the learning methods much different to the other organisations?

I'd say it has more but that's just my opinion.

A beard as in somewhere to hide my biscuit crumbs for later? No I don't think one would quite suit me somehow hehe. My instructor does have a one though!

What I like bout BSAC is that there are no time cosntraints and I can take as long as I need to complete the modules. They lend me all my kit, everyone has time and advice for me and it has only cost just over £100. Really happy so far.

Nope, not near the sea unfortunately. I can't wait to get passed and go to Stoney Cove though. For now the murky waters of Netherton Reservoir are keeping me entertained!

BSAC is one of the oldest (since 1953) and most respected scuba certifying agencies in the world. They are one of the few who use the club approach to training. Their certification is universally recognized, easily carrying as much weight as PADI or any other.

I have only ever dived with three BSAC trained divers. I would gladly buddy with any of them again.
