There was joy in Mudville tonight! My kids got to actually dive in Lake Denton. Only one had to back out, but she'll make it eventually. For those of you unfamiliar with Lake Denton... it is purely a training lake. I think I got to 35' at one point, but most of it was at 20' to 25'. Very clear for a Florida lake, and while they listed the vis at 15', I think a Secchi disk would have put it at 25' or so. The first dive had me being an elevator (13 descents) and the skills in dive #3 had me bouncing up and down and escorting finished tired students to shore. Many thanks to Doreen and Tom for their hard work with the Crew! The kids just can't wait till they hit the briney blue.
