trip report, little cayman, little cayman beach resort.
i never do this.
i never go to the same place twice in a row.
several days ago i returned home from lc while staying at lcbr.
the core group of advanced divers from tampa fl with some mystery guests fom here to there met again to dive, eat, sleep and do all over again from a land based resort.
captain ron and dm sharon ran the show.
we shared a boat with a group fromm pitt pa.
first the diving.
you did not see several of one kind of fish.
you saw hundreds in a school, darting this way and that.
blue, yellow, pink, and purple clouds of fish.
the food chain was in full action.
this was all wall diving, three tanks for 9 days.
go down over the wall to about 50-65 ft.
put the current on your nose and go for about 20 mins.
we dive thirds.
with your shoulder about 15ft off the wall you see the little ones close in and among the coral.
a little further off the wall you see the angels, trigger, black durgen and baracuda.
out in the blue you see your reef sharks, eagle rays and turtles.
then we go up to the top of the wall at about 30ft with about 2000psi back toward the boat.
here we see all the soft coral bending back and forth with the slow current and surge.
trumpets, blue tangs, honey comb cowfish and parrot dart around trying to hide.
