Yep, especially Ophiothrix spiculata because it comes in so many wonderful color combinations. Wish I saw more of them down here!
 
Bill I see them every late summer (August to October) at Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa and San Miguel, but I don't think I have ever seen them at the southern islands. Do they not happen there?
 
Wow, you're right, Ken. They're excellent subjects and make a wonderful carpet of color for a backround as well. I've gotta go diving down there!

Thanks Chantal. They are great subjects. There is an area at Anacapa Island with a field of old turban snail shells, hundreds of them. Many, like the one I posted, contain sarcastic fringeheads. ++Ken++
